Unity
Fest International is a multicultural
celebration offered free at the Putnam
Museum for the young and the young at heart.
The purpose of this event is to bring all of
the Quad Cities together to experience the
richness
of our communities through fantastic food
tastings at the International Food Court, by
watching a wide variety of cultural
performances, shopping at the International
Market and participating in interactive
ethnic demonstrations & crafts. Children are
encouraged to complete their travel passport
by collecting stamps at different world
stops located throughout the museum for
a
special prize at the end of their trip.
Why is this event important?
QC United and the Putnam Museum have
partnered to provide Unity Fest
International because it’s beneficial to our
citizens and to our communities to promote
understanding of different cultures.
Building strong connections within our local
area and enhancing relationships with our
neighbors around the world strengthens our
ability to be competitive in a World Market
and increases tolerance which supports a
peaceful Society.
Look for Unity Fest International 2012 on
the 2nd Sunday in November at the Putnam
